Sun Safety

Try to avoid the sun between 10am and 4pm when the rays are the strongest.

Apply a broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Sunscreens that contain physical blocks (like titanium) are best.

Wear protective, tightly woven clothing.

Wear a 4 inch wide broad brimmed hat and sunglasses, even when out for a short while.

Stay in the shade whenever possible.

Avoid reflective surfaces. Up to 85% of the sun's damaging rays can be reflected back at you.

Protect children by minimizing sun exposure and applying sunscreen beginning at six months of age.

If you see a mole that is changing - see a Dermatologist.
