If you suspect you need the help of any specialist, we suggest you start with your primary care physician or family physician. They work as the hub in the wheel in dealing with your healthcare issues. Your family doctor can diagnose and treat most conditions and will refer you to a specialist when he/she feels unable to diagnose or treat your condition. They will receive reports from any specialist you see and manage your follow up care. It is important to have a family physician so that all your records are in the care of one doctor and your care is being managed appropriately.
